TurbineOne, a rising star in the government Machine Learning (ML) sector, has secured $15 million in Series A funding to fuel its mission of empowering warfighters.

The investment round, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, signifies growing confidence in TurbineOne's user-friendly, edge-first ML solutions designed specifically for national security applications.

Existing investors The General Partnership and XYZ Ventures were joined by newcomer Pallas Ventures, a firm specializing in national security investments.

This funding injection comes at a crucial time as the US Department of Defense (DoD) embraces ML to cut through the ever-present "fog of war."  Today's battlefields generate a deluge of data from diverse sensors and hardware, overwhelming warfighters with information overload.

TurbineOne's solution, the Frontline Perception System (FPS), tackles this challenge head-on.

The FPS acts as a powerful filter, leveraging cutting-edge ML to automate threat recognition and deliver actionable insights.  This user-friendly software empowers warfighters to operate independently, even in harsh battlefield conditions with limited connectivity and cloud access.

"TurbineOne's team boasts deep experience serving our nation," stated Ian Kalin, TurbineOne Co-Founder and CEO. "We are proud to offer a toolset that accelerates mission success and minimizes operational risks for American service members."

Janelle Teng, Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners, echoed Kalin's sentiment. "TurbineOne exhibits all the hallmarks of a category-defining company with founders driven by a clear mission.

Their rapid success in government sales and the strong endorsement from top national security organizations are truly impressive."

This early-stage company, founded in 2022, has already made significant strides. The FPS has been deployed across US military autonomous systems and tactical operations centers.

TurbineOne's technology empowers analysts struggling with the overwhelming influx of sensor data from incompatible hardware. By applying ML, the FPS ensures critical intelligence is not lost in the data flood.

Real-world examples illustrate the effectiveness of TurbineOne's solutions. Recently, US Navy personnel with no technical expertise were able to fix under-performing ML models on autonomous surface craft, leading to more accurate reconnaissance of hostile vessels.

In another instance, Army intelligence analysts used the FPS to retrain computer vision ML models on small drones, enabling them to effectively conduct surveillance. Special Operations Forces have also benefitted from the FPS, utilizing it to process multiple sensor feeds, automate threat recognition, and generate insights that would have previously taken days.

TurbineOne prides itself on seamless integration with existing systems, including those developed by major defense contractors and ML specialists.

Furthermore, the platform's "data-agnostic" design allows it to process and integrate data from any human-understandable source, ensuring adaptability and efficiency across diverse operational environments.

With this significant funding boost, TurbineOne is poised to solidify its position as the "frontline perception company." Their user-friendly, no-code, no-cloud software platform offers a compelling solution for national security and intelligence professionals.

Backed by leading investors and already deployed across all branches of the US military and Special Operations, TurbineOne's future shines bright as they empower warfighters to navigate the complexities of modern warfare.
