Seoul, South Korea — May 3, 2025:

Hyundai Motor Company today announced two high-impact executive promotions designed to enhance global product strategy and manufacturing leadership in North America. These leadership moves reflect Hyundai’s ongoing efforts to foster innovation, increase efficiency, and strengthen operational alignment amid rapid industry transformation.

Philippe Guerin-Boutaud has been elevated to Executive Vice President of the newly formed Global Product Management Division. In this role, he will focus on improving global sales performance and profitability through integrated product strategy. Guerin-Boutaud will lead the Global Product Strategy and Planning unit, while also overseeing regional product teams in a dual reporting structure with both global and local leadership. He will report directly to José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.

With a career spanning multiple continents and major automotive brands, Guerin-Boutaud previously served as Senior Vice President of Hyundai’s Global Product Directors Office. Before joining Hyundai, he held the role of Executive Vice President of Quality and Total Customer Satisfaction at Renault Group. His international expertise spans vehicle design, manufacturing engineering, and business unit management. He holds engineering degrees from École Centrale de Paris and a Master of Science in Mechanical Dynamic Systems Modeling.

Chris Susock has been appointed Chief Manufacturing Officer of Hyundai Motor North America, a new position consolidating leadership across Hyundai’s manufacturing footprint in the U.S., including Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) and Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). Susock will report to both José Muñoz and Randy Parker, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America.

Susock brings more than two decades of manufacturing experience, including his most recent role as President and CEO of HMMA. Since joining Hyundai in 2004, he has held pivotal roles in quality, vehicle production, and operations, helping to shape HMMA’s manufacturing excellence. Prior to Hyundai, he spent 15 years at Ford Motor Company in key production leadership positions.
