HOUSTON, USA — May 26, 2025:

Jaime Aleman, a distinguished Panamanian lawyer, diplomat, and adventurer, is set to make history by completing what many are calling the ultimate travel Grand Slam.

Blue Origin announced this week that Alemán will be aboard its upcoming suborbital space mission, scheduled for launch in the coming weeks. At age 73, the journey to space will crown a decades-long quest: visiting all 193 United Nations-recognized countries, reaching both the North and South Poles, and now traveling beyond Earth’s atmosphere.

“I didn’t pursue this for a record,” Alemán said. “I did it to challenge myself—to see the world in its fullest sense. Going to space allows me to witness our planet not through borders, but as one interconnected home.”

Upon completing the flight, Alemán is expected to become the first person ever to accomplish this rare combination of global feats. A formal submission has been made to Guinness World Records for official recognition.

Alemán’s life journey has been more than a passport full of stamps. It has been a testament to diplomacy, curiosity, and cultural understanding. His explorations have taken him from Himalayan monasteries to Saharan trade routes, and from post-conflict cities to remote Antarctic research bases. Soon, they will extend beyond the Earth’s surface.

A former Ambassador of Panama to the United States, Alemán is also the founder of Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee (Alcogal), one of Latin America's most prestigious law firms. Throughout his professional and personal life, he has advocated for sustainable travel, cross-cultural dialogue, and international cooperation.

As Blue Origin prepares for its next mission, Alemán’s inclusion marks a new chapter not only for commercial spaceflight but for the human drive to explore without limits. His upcoming launch represents a fusion of diplomacy, exploration, and personal legacy—underscoring how far one individual can go in bridging Earth’s divides and literally reaching for the stars.
