Kunming will host the 23rd International Flower Expo and IFEX from Sept 19–21, 2025, spotlighting innovation, trade, and global partnerships in floriculture.

Kunming, China — May 31, 2025:
Kunming, the vibrant floriculture capital of China, is gearing up to host the 23rd Kunming International Flower Expo (KIFE) and Kunming International Flower and Plant Expo (IFEX) from September 19 to 21, 2025. Organized by RX Greater China, this premier international event will take place at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center and is set to attract more than 500 exhibitors from across the globe, including key participants from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France.
Occupying an impressive 60,000 square meters, this year’s expo has already booked over 90% of its exhibition space, reflecting the growing interest in Asia’s most dynamic flower trade hub. France will serve as the guest of honor, with its national pavilion presenting floral artistry and native varieties from top horticultural names such as Meilland International, Morel, and Georges Delbard. Leading Dutch breeders like De Ruiter, Van Den Berg Roses, Schreurs, and Rijkland will also bring forward their cutting-edge plant varieties and breeding technologies.
A major highlight of the event will be the debut of the Tropical Plants Pavilion, hosting exhibitors from Thailand, Taiwan, and top domestic brands, expanding the scope of the expo beyond traditional flowers into lush, exotic plant life. In addition, several high-profile forums will take place alongside the exhibition, addressing key topics including intellectual property protection for new plant breeds, the modernization of floriculture infrastructure, digital transformation across horticulture, and strategic e-commerce marketing practices for China’s growing flower industry.
The 2024 edition of KIFE and IFEX saw more than 84,000 attendees and on-site business transactions exceeding 200 million yuan. Organizers expect even greater impact in 2025, with more international delegations, business matchmaking, and global media coverage.
Duan Jinhui, a representative of the exhibiting community, emphasized the significance of the event in showcasing Yunnan’s floral excellence to the world and encouraging greater collaboration. Rose Marie Gonzaga, CEO of Tri GonzFlower Trading Corp., praised the expanded selection of exhibitors and new technologies, noting fruitful discussions for future partnerships.
This year's expo is not only a showcase of flowers but a comprehensive business and innovation hub. A smart networking system will enhance B2B connections, while organized field visits to Yunnan’s flower production zones will allow participants to witness the entire value chain from cultivation to packaging. Attendees will also enjoy live floral art performances and receive exclusive flower-themed souvenirs that reflect the spirit of Kunming.
Positioned as a global leader in floriculture, Kunming is using KIFE and IFEX 2025 to further its strategic ambition of becoming Asia’s top flower trade hub. With innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation at its core, this landmark event is expected to shape the future of the global flower industry.
