NEW DELHI, India, May 13, 2025:

In a major move to boost vehicle safety standards, Maruti Suzuki ARENA has announced the inclusion of 6 airbags as a standard feature across four of its most popular models—WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eeco. This initiative marks a significant leap toward ensuring accessible and advanced occupant protection for Indian motorists.
The newly standardized 6-airbag system includes dual front, side, and curtain airbags, forming a comprehensive shield for passengers. These are supported by 3-point seat belts for all seats, along with seat belt reminders, enhancing the overall safety ecosystem inside the vehicle.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, emphasized the growing need for safety, citing the rise of high-speed expressways and evolving traffic conditions in India. “With the decision of making 6 airbags standard in the WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eeco, we are ensuring that enhanced safety is available for all,” he said, noting that the popularity of these models will help raise safety standards on a national scale.
To amplify awareness, the company has launched a high-impact campaign featuring adrenaline-filled activities like Zorbing and Bubble Football. These events highlight how Maruti Suzuki’s vehicles now offer robust protection in dynamic environments, aligning with the brand’s energetic and safety-conscious identity.
This upgrade places these models alongside other ARENA offerings—such as the Swift, Dzire, and Brezza—which already feature 6 airbags. In addition to passive protection, the vehicles are equipped with advanced active safety technologies, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
The newly enhanced models are now available at Maruti Suzuki ARENA dealerships across India, reinforcing the company’s mission to democratize safety and lead the industry in responsible mobility solutions.
