Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — May 14, 2025:

Nvidia has struck a landmark deal to supply 18,000 of its latest-generation Blackwell AI chips to Saudi Arabia, further deepening the Middle Eastern kingdom's push into cutting-edge artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. The US chipmaker will partner with Humain, an AI startup backed by Saudi Arabia’s powerful Public Investment Fund (PIF), to equip a newly planned 500-megawatt data center—one of the largest in the region.

The collaboration was unveiled on Tuesday during a high-level U.S. business and diplomatic mission to the Gulf, which includes stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. The project highlights the strategic role AI is playing in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the economy by heavily investing in next-generation technologies.

"AI, like electricity and the internet, is essential infrastructure for every nation," Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum in Riyadh. "Together with Humain, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia to realize the bold vision of the Kingdom."

The data center will deploy Nvidia’s GB300 Blackwell GPUs, the most advanced AI processors in Nvidia’s portfolio, launched earlier this year. These chips are designed to handle the intense computational demands of generative AI, machine learning, and large-scale data processing.

The deal underscores the growing global appetite for AI hardware and positions Saudi Arabia as a rising player in the global tech ecosystem. It also demonstrates Nvidia’s efforts to expand into fast-growing, high-investment regions beyond its traditional North American and East Asian markets.

As Saudi Arabia ramps up its ambitions to become an AI and cloud services hub, this partnership with Nvidia signals a major step toward building the high-performance infrastructure required to support future digital economies.
