Detroit, USA — May 13, 2025:
Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is taking center stage at Automate 2025 in Detroit with a powerful demonstration of technologies designed to elevate American manufacturing. The company is introducing innovations in industrial AI, open software-defined automation, and smart robotics, all aimed at making U.S. industry more competitive, resilient, and future-ready.
Central to its exhibit is the industrial copilot, developed in collaboration with Microsoft. This advanced generative AI assistant, integrated with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, is engineered to enhance worker productivity by automating routine tasks and simplifying complex processes. By delivering real-time recommendations, predictive maintenance alerts, and seamless collaboration capabilities, the copilot addresses labor shortages, reduces operational friction, and accelerates time-to-market. It also helps operators and engineers adapt quickly to changing production needs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Aamir Paul, President of North America Operations at Schneider Electric, emphasized that the industry is undergoing a pivotal transformation. He stated that closing the growing skills gap and boosting efficiency require innovative tools, and Schneider’s AI copilot is built to deliver exactly that. According to Paul, the new technology allows engineers to deploy systems faster and optimize them with the help of Schneider Electric’s deep domain expertise, helping organizations stay ahead in a competitive global market.
These advancements are showcased within the EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform, the world’s first open, software-defined automation solution. This unified platform connects diverse hardware and software environments, ensuring real-time data access and enabling better decision-making, faster system updates, and smarter operations. At Automate 2025, the platform is being demonstrated through an interactive digital brewery setup, which illustrates how modular automation enhances supply chain resilience, reduces total cost of ownership, and streamlines daily operations.
Visitors to Schneider Electric’s booth will also explore new innovations in robotics and motion control, including the Modicon M660 Industrial PC motion controller and the Modicon Edge I/O NTS. These solutions combine AI, edge computing, and advanced control logic to improve operational performance and enable real-time responsiveness in industrial settings. The expanded Lexium range of robots, including the high-speed SCARA and the new 18kg payload cobot, showcases how precision automation can drive both flexibility and productivity in logistics and manufacturing applications. These machines are designed for seamless integration and real-time synchronization, making production lines more adaptable to changeovers and space constraints.
In addition to robotics and automation platforms, Schneider Electric is highlighting its new AVEVA Enterprise Visualization system, which provides a centralized view of process operations across widespread assets. This integration enables manufacturers to monitor productivity, sustainability, and project metrics from one dashboard, driving more informed decisions and streamlined operations. Another innovation on display is the TeSys Deca Advanced motor contactor, which uses SNAP IN toolless technology for faster, error-free wiring. Built for harsh industrial environments, this device increases installation speed by up to 75 percent and supports automated motor management.
As part of the exhibition, Schneider Electric has launched its new “Schmoooth” advertising campaign aimed at OEMs, system integrators, and industrial end-users. The campaign positions Schneider as a strategic partner capable of delivering automation experiences that are not only seamless but intelligent, predictive, and highly efficient. It highlights measurable benefits including up to seven times better system agility, ten times faster incident resolution, 55 percent higher workforce efficiency, and 20 percent energy savings.
Industry leaders from Schneider Electric are also participating in keynote panels throughout the Automate 2025 event. On May 14, Aamir Paul will deliver a keynote address titled “Redefining Industry: A Bold New Era for American Manufacturing,” where he will explore how AI, digitalization, and robotics are shaping the future workforce. Earlier, on May 12, Senior Vice President Andre Marino will join a panel on “Innovate to Dominate,” sharing practical strategies on leveraging automation for supply chain resilience and productivity.
Automate 2025 runs from May 12 to 15 at Huntington Place in Detroit.
