HONG KONG, China — June 14, 2025:
GAC Group made a commanding impression at the 2025 Hong Kong International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo, unveiling eight flagship models across its GAC, AION, and HYPTEC brands. The showcase included the regional debut of the AION UT and the global launch of the GOVY AirCab, the company’s first mass-produced flying car.
Held on June 12, the event marked a major milestone in GAC’s ongoing global expansion, particularly in right-hand drive markets. The AION UT, a key part of GAC’s international strategy, was revealed as a stylish, AI-powered electric SUV designed at the company’s Milan Design Center. It meets Chinese and European five-star safety standards and will enter the Hong Kong market later this year, offering a compelling electric option for urban drivers.
Equally groundbreaking was the unveiling of the GOVY AirCab, a flying car developed to support low-altitude transportation and urban mobility. Featuring fully autonomous navigation and designed for “one-click worry-free travel,” the AirCab represents GAC’s forward-looking vision for personal and sustainable transport.
GAC also highlighted its "Hong Kong ACTION" initiative, a localized implementation of its "One GAC 2.0" strategy. This includes a strengthened commitment to Southeast Asia, underscored by the June 12 operational launch of GAC’s Smart Factory in Indonesia, which will support manufacturing across the ASEAN region.
The eight featured vehicles demonstrated GAC’s range in new energy and smart mobility. Among them, the AION Y PLUS impressed with its long range, comfort, and safety, while the AION V appealed to global families with its cutting-edge technology. The luxury electric SUV HYPTEC HT brought advanced features like massage and ventilated seating, and the E9 PHEV—already a local favorite—continued to gain traction in Hong Kong’s MPV segment.
Further cementing its commitment to smart technology, GAC introduced GoMate, a third-generation humanoid robot that greeted visitors at the booth. Developed in-house, the robot is designed for future deployment in public security and smart city initiatives.
With a focus on innovation, design, and localized strategies, GAC is setting the stage for a broader international presence, aiming to deliver high-value, next-generation mobility solutions to consumers worldwide.
