HEFEI, China — June 17, 2025:
HUAZHI ENERGY, a leading innovator in renewable energy technologies, has launched a state-of-the-art commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage project in the Benelux region, marking a significant step in smart grid integration for agriculture and sustainable energy use. The project, executed in partnership with EnerBox, features a total system capacity of 250 kW/558 kWh and was officially unveiled on June 6, 2025.
Designed to address the challenges of rising energy demand from agricultural machinery, volatile power loads, and underutilized photovoltaic (PV) systems, HUAZHI’s solution is fully integrated into the farm’s power grid. It enhances energy efficiency through peak shaving, optimizes solar energy use, and enables revenue generation by discharging stored power during high-price periods.
At the heart of the system is HUAZHI’s advanced energy management system (EMS), powered by real-time control (RTC) and AI-based forecasting. The EMS enables dynamic energy trading by charging batteries during off-peak or even negatively priced periods on the balancing market, and discharging them strategically during demand peaks.
The EnerBox platform offers a modular, plug-and-play design, allowing easy on-site installation without the need for complex infrastructure. Cabinets range from 232 kWh to 279 kWh in capacity, with parallel connectivity for scalable deployments. The system is built for harsh environments, boasting IP55&C4 protection and temperature resilience from -30°C to 50°C.
Supporting the energy conversion process is HUAZHI’s self-developed PCS-125K/EU power conversion system. With an IP65 protection rating and high-performance components, it offers fast response times ideal for providing grid services such as fast reserve capacity (FCR), automatic frequency restoration reserve (aFRR), and manual frequency restoration reserve (mFRR).
