CHARLESTON, South Carolina, USA — June 7, 2025:

Semperis, a global leader in AI-powered identity security and cyber resilience, announced that Jen Easterly, the former Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will keynote the 2025 Hybrid Identity Protection Conference (HIP Conf), scheduled for October 7–9 in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.

Easterly, one of the world’s most prominent cybersecurity leaders, is widely credited with transforming CISA into a $3 billion agency with over 10,000 personnel during her tenure. A decorated U.S. Army combat veteran and former Morgan Stanley executive, Easterly has spent decades at the forefront of national defense, public-private collaboration, and technological resilience. “Defenders working in hybrid identity environments set the standard for resilience in a world where adversaries move fast and trust is everything,” she said. “We are in an era where adversaries exploit every weakness and identity is the first and last line of defense. I am looking forward to joining this community at the upcoming HIP Conf.”

The Hybrid Identity Protection Conference is a premier global gathering of cybersecurity professionals focused specifically on identity-first security in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Organized by Semperis, HIP Conf 2025 will bring together top voices from across enterprise, academia, and government to address critical challenges in identity threat detection and response (ITDR), operational resilience, and the evolving role of platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, and Okta in global IT ecosystems.

This year’s event features a series of high-impact sessions led by some of the field’s most respected figures. Microsoft’s Principal Software Engineer, Linda Taylor, will explore the future of Active Directory. Michael Van Horenbeeck, CEO of The Collective, will present an analysis of security breaches over the past 25 years. Henrique Teixeira and David Lee of Saviynt will examine the 2026 identity security landscape. Meanwhile, Capgemini’s Head of Cyber Security, Ben Cauwel, will provide practical guidance on building operational resilience beyond backup systems. Joe Kaplan of Accenture will weigh in on the shift from hybrid to full cloud environments, and Jorge De Almeida Pinto from Semperis will address securing managed service accounts and reducing identity risk exposure.

Returning to the HIP Conf stage for the third consecutive year, Alex Weinert, Chief Product Officer at Semperis and former Vice President of Identity Security at Microsoft, emphasized the event’s growing relevance. “Identity is the new security perimeter,” Weinert said. “As organizations modernize their infrastructure, they must stay ahead of increasingly complex identity-based attacks. HIP continues to be the go-to event for real-world strategies and meaningful community connections. We're proud to lead this critical global conversation.”

Unlike broad-spectrum cybersecurity events, HIP Conf is uniquely built for practitioners working directly with hybrid identity infrastructures. The event cultivates global collaboration, fosters practical learning, and drives innovation that extends well beyond the three-day conference.
