SHANGHAI, China — June 16, 2025:
Polyshine Solar made a significant impact at the 2025 SNEC PV & Energy Storage conference in Shanghai by unveiling five application-specific solutions that push the boundaries of lightweight photovoltaic (PV) technology. Known for pioneering flexible and efficient solar modules, the company introduced its new JG series and a portfolio of solutions tailored for diverse real-world scenarios—ranging from curved rooftops to urban balconies.
The centerpiece of Polyshine’s presentation was the new JG series module, engineered to meet the growing global demand for lightweight and adaptable solar panels. With a thin 1.1 mm glass structure, the module achieves more than a 50% weight reduction compared to conventional designs. Capable of delivering a high efficiency of up to 23.3%, the JG series is ideally suited for both residential and commercial rooftops that demand reduced load impact.
Polyshine also showcased five unique solutions for specific use cases. For industrial plants with high energy needs and curved or weak roofs, the company's lightweight panels—at just 5.5 kg/m²—offer minimal structural stress and excellent adaptability with a 0.5-meter bending radius. These modules also feature a self-cleaning surface that reduces maintenance and boosts energy returns.
In an innovative approach to infrastructure, Polyshine revealed PV modules tailored for traffic noise barriers along elevated highways. These panels combine energy generation with noise reduction and use ultra-light materials that enhance both safety and installation convenience, turning passive road barriers into energy assets.
For seaside museums and heritage buildings, where both aesthetic integrity and environmental durability are critical, Polyshine introduced customizable color modules. These panels incorporate patented encapsulation that stands up to the corrosive conditions of marine climates while preserving the architectural appeal.
Horticulture also got a boost with modules designed for flower markets, utilizing double-sided translucent panels that balance light transmission with energy production. These systems not only generate electricity on both sides but also help optimize lighting conditions for plant growth.
Lastly, the residential balcony PV solution offers an ultra-user-friendly solar option. Easily attachable with cable ties and requiring only two minutes to install per panel, this innovation makes it possible for homeowners to set up their own compact energy systems without professional help.
With the rallying slogan, “Where there is light, there is Polyshine,” the company demonstrated its commitment to making solar energy more accessible, efficient, and aesthetically compatible with modern life. As the global PV industry continues to expand, Polyshine Solar’s latest offerings set a new standard in lightweight, application-focused solar technology.
