Dallas, USA — July 4, 2025:

AT&T has announced a major acceleration of its nationwide fiber network rollout following the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act by Congress on July 3. The telecom giant said it will expand its investment by connecting an additional 1 million customer locations per year starting in 2026, as the new law unlocks sweeping incentives for infrastructure development.

Calling the bill a “game-changer,” AT&T said the legislation will spur investment, sustain U.S. leadership in innovation, and create long-term economic opportunity across the country. The bill features provisions for midband spectrum allocation, key to meeting rising consumer demand for faster, more reliable connectivity, and restoring America’s global standing in wireless technology.

Combined with targeted tax incentives for capital investment, the law aligns with the strategic goals laid out by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, particularly in unleashing large-scale high-speed infrastructure builds and expanding next-generation networks.

“We expect to accelerate our fiber buildout and invest faster than previously planned, thanks to the pro-growth policies enabled by this legislation,” AT&T said in a statement.

The company also extended its appreciation to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Commerce Chair Ted Cruz, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Brett Guthrie for their leadership in shaping the bill. Special recognition was given to President Donald Trump for making spectrum access and capital tax reform top priorities during the legislative reconciliation process.

AT&T, which currently serves over 100 million U.S. consumers and 2.5 million businesses, noted that its second-quarter earnings update on July 23, 2025, will include more details on how the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will impact its financial outlook and capital allocation strategy.

With a legacy spanning more than 140 years of innovation, AT&T emphasized that this next phase of fiber expansion will play a crucial role in advancing multi-gig internet, 5G, and future-proofed broadband infrastructure nationwide. The company reaffirmed its commitment to connecting communities and businesses to greater possibilities through cutting-edge technologies.
