Baseus, a global leader in consumer electronics and smart home innovation, has unveiled two advanced additions to its security lineup: the Baseus Security S2 Outdoor Camera 4K and the Baseus Security S1 Lite 2K Outdoor Camera. These solar-powered devices were launched during an event in Las Vegas and are designed to offer high-performance home surveillance with eco-friendly energy solutions.
The Baseus Security S2 4K stands out as the world’s first sun-tracking solar-powered security camera, capable of adjusting its panel throughout the day to absorb maximum sunlight. This innovation rapidly charges the built-in 7,800mAh battery, allowing 24/7 operation without reliance on external power.
Equipped with 4K Ultra HD video, 8MP resolution, night vision, and a 145° Field of View, the S2 ensures crystal-clear identification of faces and license plates even at night, up to 39 feet away. It also features PIR and Radar Dual-Sensor Smart Detection, significantly reducing false alerts by up to 99%.
For secure and cost-effective data storage, users can insert a microSD card (up to 512GB), eliminating the need for monthly cloud subscriptions. The device also includes AES+RSA encryption, IP67 waterproofing, and operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C. Setup is quick and wire-free, taking less than five minutes, and full control is available via the Baseus Security app, with support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Alongside the S2, Baseus launched the Security S1 Lite 2K, a budget-friendly option that doesn’t compromise on quality. It includes a 2K resolution camera, 135° wide-angle lens, and 8x digital zoom, supported by a 5,200mAh solar-powered battery that offers up to 150 days of use with just 2.25 hours of sunlight per day.
