OPPO has officially unveiled the Find N5, a groundbreaking device that redefines the foldable smartphone category. Boasting the title of the world’s thinnest book-style foldable flagship, the Find N5 merges ultra-slim engineering with unmatched durability and functionality, making it a new benchmark in mobile technology.
Foldables have long struggled to match the practicality and comfort of bar-style smartphones, often sacrificing portability for innovation. But with Find N5, OPPO has overcome this trade-off. Measuring just 8.93mm when folded and 4.21mm when unfolded, the device is thinner than a USB-C port and significantly slimmer than its closest competitors. Weighing only 229 grams, it feels closer to a premium bar phone than any foldable before it.
This ultra-thin and lightweight design is made possible by OPPO’s custom-built components, tightly packed into a chassis that doesn’t compromise on power or usability. The phone slips effortlessly into a pocket or small bag, offering a seamless two-in-one experience that functions as both a tablet and a smartphone.

The Find N5 doesn’t just look impressive—it’s built to last. At the heart of its engineering is the Titanium Alloy Flexion Hinge, OPPO’s most advanced and compact hinge to date. Crafted from aerospace-grade Grade 5 titanium, the same material used in Boeing 787 aircraft and NASA’s Mars rovers, the hinge is 36% more rigid and 26% smaller than its predecessor. Precision 3D printing ensures accuracy in each component, delivering next-generation foldable performance.
Certified by TÜV Rheinland for Reliable Folding, the Find N5 has passed 100,000 folds under extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C, proving its resilience in harsh real-world conditions.
Its structural integrity is further enhanced with a customised 7000-series aluminium frame—30% stronger than the previous model—and a back cover made from aerospace-grade fibre that’s 43% thinner yet more impact-resistant. Internally, a quad-stacked motherboard design and the use of carbon fibre and aluminium-ceramic composites help reduce bulk while improving rigidity.
On the display front, OPPO introduces a Dual Shielded Flexible Screen with an innovative anti-shock elastomer film that offers 70% stronger impact resistance, providing users with long-term screen durability.
Industry-First Water Resistance
Foldables have traditionally lagged behind in water protection, but the Find N5 becomes the first smartphone globally to achieve IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance. This breakthrough ensures protection against high-pressure water jets and full submersion, making it the most water-resistant foldable on the market.
OPPO achieved this milestone using a multi-layer waterproofing strategy, combining precision adhesive applications with extended curing times and specialized materials to form long-lasting seals within the device’s compact structure.
