BEIJING, China — August 16, 2025:
Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has unveiled its latest innovations in industrial and humanoid robotics at the World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025, held in Beijing from August 8 to 12, showcasing its vision for the future of intelligent manufacturing.
As both a robotics user, developer, and system integrator, Zoomlion’s presence at the global event highlighted its dual commitment to technological innovation and industry transformation. The company presented key advancements in robot adaptability, human-machine collaboration, and smart production systems—demonstrating its leadership in building the next generation of manufacturing ecosystems.
“Industrial and humanoid robots are not replacements, but partners in a new manufacturing paradigm,” said Zeng Guang, General Manager of ZValley Technology Co. Ltd., a Zoomlion subsidiary. “Our goal is to enable robots to adapt to their environments and advance manufacturing toward higher quality, greater efficiency, and greater intelligence.”
Zoomlion’s robotics journey began in 2006, initially focused on programmable robots for large-scale single-product production. Since 2019, it has transitioned to adaptive robotics integrated with vision and force-sensing capabilities, supported by a robust industrial internet architecture. This technology enables agile, multi-model manufacturing, allowing rapid model changes and mass customization.
These innovations are already in full-scale deployment at Zoomlion Smart Industry City in Changsha, where over 2,000 adaptive robots operate on 300 smart production lines. The facility produces cranes, excavators, concrete mixers, and aerial work platforms, with the ability to switch production models in minutes—achieving high-mix, low-volume output with industrial precision.
In 2024, Zoomlion expanded its scope with the development of humanoid robots to address automation tasks beyond the reach of traditional industrial machines. The company introduced three prototype models—two wheeled and one bipedal—now undergoing pilot operations in machining, assembly, logistics, and quality inspection.
These humanoids are equipped with multimodal whole-scene perception, combining vision, touch, and force sensing, along with intent recognition and collaborative dual-arm planning. Their safety-aware design allows them to work closely with humans in dynamic environments. Zoomlion also launched a dedicated humanoid training center with over 100 simulation workstations, as well as a cloud-native AI platform for real-time data acquisition and model development.
All of these innovations are integrated into Zoomlion’s Industrial Internet platform, which connects over 1.7 million devices globally across 18 categories and more than 600 product models. With over 30,000 data parameters collected in real time, the platform forms a petabyte-scale foundation for intelligent, data-driven manufacturing and robot coordination.
Zoomlion’s long-term vision is the co-evolution of industrial and humanoid robotics, enabling autonomous factories where machines possess self-perception, self-adaptation, and self-decision-making capabilities. By blending advanced hardware with AI-powered software ecosystems, the company aims to redefine what’s possible in global smart manufacturing.
