Dhaka, Bangladesh — November 24, 2025:

TikTok has rolled out a series of new tools under its Time and Well-Being initiative, signaling a notable shift toward supporting healthier digital habits among its users. Announced in a press release from TikTok Bangladesh on Sunday, the features aim to balance entertainment with mental well-being — an increasingly important issue as concerns grow about excessive screen time and online stress.

The new feature set includes more than 120 downloadable affirmation cards, calming ambient sound generators such as rain or ocean waves, and guided breathing exercises. TikTok says the goal is to make relaxation more accessible directly within the app, encouraging users to take intentional breaks from continuous scrolling.

Beyond these tools, TikTok has introduced four Well-Being Missions designed to foster long-term mindful digital behavior. These missions, shaped by research from the Digital Wellness Lab, TikTok’s internal studies, and input from its Youth Council, reflect evidence that two-thirds of teens find digital time-management tools helpful.

Among the missions is the Sleep Hours Mission, an eight-week program centered around a virtual “Well-Being Tree” that grows as users maintain healthier sleep routines. New Daily Screen Time Badges and Weekly Screen Time Reports encourage users to set and monitor personal usage limits, while the Well-Being Ambassador Mission motivates participants to support others in adopting similar habits.

TikTok’s effort comes amid growing global scrutiny of how social platforms influence mental health, particularly among younger users. By embedding wellness tools directly into its interface, TikTok is positioning itself as a platform actively responding to those concerns while trying to reshape how users engage with digital time.

Whether these features will meaningfully shift user behavior remains to be seen, but their launch marks a significant investment in digital well-being — and a recognition that platforms must adapt as conversations about online health intensify.
