OpenAI has introduced a new year-end feature called “Your Year with ChatGPT”, offering users a personalized summary of their interactions with the AI throughout 2025. Similar to Spotify Wrapped, this feature allows users to review the conversations, ideas, and time spent using ChatGPT over the past year, making the AI experience more personal and memorable.
Announced on social media platform Xe (formerly Twitter), OpenAI explained that the feature is designed for users who regularly engage with ChatGPT. It provides an overview of the most frequently asked questions, key concepts discussed, and the types of conversations users participated in. By reflecting on these interactions, users gain insights into how they used ChatGPT over the year, offering both a fun and informative perspective on their AI engagement.
To access the feature, users must have the ‘Save Memory’ and ‘Chat History’ settings enabled. The rollout is being implemented gradually, and the feature is currently available in a limited number of countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. OpenAI has not yet confirmed whether it will expand access to other regions in the future.
Users can view their year-in-review in several ways. Within the app, they can look for the ‘Your Year with ChatGPT’ option at different times of the day, start a new chat and click the ‘+’ button, or type the prompt “Show me my year with ChatGPT” directly. The feature will then generate a summary that highlights both the quantity and nature of interactions, giving users a clear view of their engagement patterns.
Technology experts note that this is the first time ChatGPT has offered a year-end review feature. By summarizing user interactions, the tool not only enhances personalization but also strengthens the sense of connection between users and AI.
