Barcelona, Spain, March 7, 2025:
BTI Wireless showcased its cutting-edge solutions for mobile network operators and enterprises at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, highlighting the future of connectivity in the 5G+ era. The company introduced next-generation distributed antenna systems (DAS) and private mobile network solutions designed to meet the growing demands for high-performance, secure, and efficient wireless infrastructure.
With mobile network operators seeking more cost-effective in-building coverage, BTI Wireless presented its hybrid solutions powered by the CrossFire™ platform. This platform allows for site-funded DAS while also providing standalone private network capabilities, offering businesses the flexibility to deploy powerful networks without relying on traditional base stations.
In a significant enhancement, BTI has integrated off-air BDA signal capture capabilities into its CrossFire platform and is working with Tier 1 RAN OEMs to incorporate eCPRI baseband connectivity. This advancement facilitates a seamless, software-only transition from off-air signals to those powered by ORAN or traditional base stations, offering enhanced efficiency for mobile network operators and enterprises alike.
Ron Poulin, Vice President of Sales for North America at BTI Wireless, commented, “These innovations accelerate ROI for enterprises by enabling mission-critical applications to move from Wi-Fi to more secure and robust private mobile networks. The off-air capability allows for immediate deployment of the DAS, reducing pressure on mobile network operators to deploy dedicated capacity.”
BTI Wireless also unveiled a new series of base stations, including high-performance distributed base stations powered by FlexRAN and integrated base stations with the latest chipsets. These solutions are designed for faster data rates and expanded coverage through enhanced multi-band carrier aggregation (CA), supporting various 5G deployment scenarios with greater flexibility.
A key topic at MWC 2025 was AI-RAN, a technology expected to shape the future of 5G Advanced (5G-A) and 6G networks. Poulin emphasized BTI's commitment to AI-RAN’s development, stating, “AI-RAN is an important part of our future. Our engineers are building the next generation of products that will be smarter, easier to deploy, and operate.”
With these groundbreaking solutions, BTI Wireless is paving the way for the next era of mobile network technology, addressing the industry's increasing need for fast, reliable, and secure 5G+ infrastructure. The company’s innovations are set to enhance connectivity across enterprises, providing the foundation for a smarter, more efficient mobile ecosystem.
