Duqm, Oman — May 31, 2025:

Arctech, the global leader in solar tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions, has signed a landmark agreement with India’s ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to supply 175 MWp of solar tracking systems for a cutting-edge green hydrogen project in Duqm, Oman. The agreement supports ACME’s 300 metric tons per day (MTPD) Green Ammonia Project, marking one of the largest clean hydrogen undertakings in the Middle East.

The Duqm region, located on Oman’s southeastern coast, is known for its coastal desert climate—characterized by sandy soils, extreme temperatures, high wind speeds up to 55 m/s, and C5-level corrosion exposure. Despite these harsh conditions, Duqm offers exceptional solar irradiance, averaging 5,764 kWh/m² annually, making it an ideal location for utility-scale solar deployment.

To meet these challenges, Arctech will deploy its Skyline II 1P Single Axis Solar Tracking System, engineered for durability in high-wind environments and optimal energy yield. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2025, with phased installation.

The solar component will power one of the region’s first integrated green hydrogen facilities, combining solar energy with next-generation fuel production. The project is a cornerstone in Oman’s broader Vision 2040 strategy, which aims to generate 35–39% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2040, led by entities like the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP).

“We are pleased to partner with Arctech for our 300 MTPD Green Hydrogen project in Duqm,” said Vipin Aggarwal, Vice President of Procurement in Green Hydrogen and International Business at ACME Cleantech. “Their advanced tracking systems and proven execution capability will help us optimize performance and ensure reliability in this demanding environment.”

This project not only accelerates Oman’s energy diversification goals but also positions Duqm as a global hub for renewable hydrogen, integrating solar innovation with industrial-scale ammonia production. The collaboration also highlights Arctech’s deep experience in executing GW-scale renewable projects globally, from Asia and the Middle East to Latin America and Europe.

As countries worldwide push for industrial decarbonization, this Duqm initiative stands as a model of clean energy integration—setting a new benchmark for how solar and hydrogen can drive sustainable transformation on a global scale.
