CHICAGO, USA — May 18, 2025:
Artly has officially introduced its latest innovation—a compact, AI-powered mini Barista Bot—at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show 2025, held at McCormick Place in Chicago, USA. The latest version brings together intelligent automation, elegant design, and operational efficiency, offering a powerful solution for cafes, restaurants, and event venues worldwide.
The standout feature of the new Barista Bot is its reduced size, now just 4 feet by 4 feet, making it ideal for smaller commercial spaces without compromising performance. Alongside its compact design, Artly has integrated a larger-capacity refrigerator for greater ingredient storage and introduced customizable countertops in white, walnut, and classic wood finishes—allowing the robot to aesthetically adapt to diverse interiors.
At the heart of the Barista Bot is Artly’s proprietary Vision-Language-Action (VLA) AI model. This system is trained using motion capture data from world-class baristas, enabling the robot to replicate precise movements and deliver expert-crafted beverages. Currently, the Barista Bot can prepare 28 different hot and iced drinks, including intricately designed latte art. Thanks to enhanced machine learning capabilities, more beverage options are expected to roll out soon.
“Barista Bot is now not just faster and smarter—it’s more adaptable and ready to serve a wider audience,” said Yushan Chen, Chief Operating Officer of Artly. “Our mission is to bring the beauty and precision of barista artistry to everyone, everywhere. The NRA Show is the perfect platform to showcase this vision in action.”
Since its inception five years ago, the Barista Bot has served nearly one million cups of coffee, raised over $10 million in funding, and has been installed in 15 café locations across the U.S. With the mini version unveiled at NRA 2025, Artly is accelerating its global expansion strategy.
Automation and AI are dominant themes at this year’s NRA Show, and Artly's robotic arm, performing live latte art demonstrations, remains a visual centerpiece. Attendees can visit booth #8739 through May 20 to experience the Barista Bot in action and explore how it fits into the future of coffee and hospitality service.
Artly’s innovation blends cutting-edge technology with culinary creativity, offering a glimpse into the future of foodservice and robotics on a global scale.
