FONTANA, California, USA — May 16, 2025:
Bar None Auction, a long-standing innovator in the heavy equipment auction industry, has launched monthly auctions from its new Fontana, California yard, marking a major milestone in its West Coast expansion. This site, which opened in October 2024, joins the company’s existing locations in Sacramento, California, and Woodburn, Oregon.
With local staff fully trained and IT systems optimized, Bar None began hosting monthly Fontana auctions in January 2025. “We want our clients to know they can come back each month, whether they're looking to buy or sell,” the company stated. This regularity helps customers manage inventory and financial planning, further solidifying Bar None’s presence in Southern California.
Bar None now offers three auctions per month — Sacramento on the 2nd Saturday, Fontana on the 3rd Friday, and Woodburn on the 4th Friday. Notably, May’s Fontana auction will be held on Friday, May 23rd, diverging from the usual schedule.
Founded in 1993 by Zeb Seidel, Bar None Auction is now led by third-generation auctioneer Josh Seidel. “The auction business is in my blood,” Seidel said. “From commercial to charity auctions, it’s been a fulfilling journey.” A graduate of California State University–Sacramento with business experience in various sectors, Seidel brings a modern edge to the family legacy.
The name "Bar None" reflects a family phrase passed down by Seidel’s great-great-grandfather: “I can get it done, bar none.” The motto symbolizes the company’s dedication to excellence.
Although Bar None previously operated in the San Bernardino/Riverside region, the company strategically refocused before returning to Southern California due to sustained demand and a new statewide contract that required multiple California locations.
Fontana’s 12-acre paved site includes two loading docks, numerous forklifts, and over a thousand feet of highway visibility, providing a highly efficient and accessible experience for buyers and sellers. All auctions are now held online — a pivot embraced during the pandemic. “Online is undeniably the future,” Seidel remarked, adding that each lot has a timed bidding window to avoid live auction chaos.
To keep the community spirit alive, Bar None hosts in-person preview days with food trucks, giveaways, and networking opportunities. “It’s about creating an experience,” Seidel said.
As Bar None continues to grow, Seidel emphasizes the company’s commitment to making auctions simple and rewarding. “We pride ourselves on being the easy button for our customers, whether they're selling or buying.”
With its innovative approach and deep-rooted family tradition, Bar None Auction’s Fontana expansion reinforces its status as a major player in the evolving auction landscape.
