Luxembourg — May 2, 2025:
Gcore, a global leader in edge AI, cloud, network, and security solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with AzInTelecom LLC, a key subsidiary of Azerbaijan's Transport and Communications Holding (AZCON). The collaboration is aimed at developing sovereign cloud services that fully comply with Azerbaijan's data regulations, offering businesses and government institutions enhanced protection and promoting the country’s technological independence.
The partnership will focus on expanding digital transformation initiatives in Azerbaijan, supporting the nation’s vision for technological innovation and data sovereignty. As part of the collaboration, the two companies have already launched the AzInCloud platform, which provides a comprehensive range of cloud services tailored to meet local needs.
AzInCloud offers users access to a wide variety of cloud services, including real-time monitoring, operating systems, and a cloud marketplace. The platform operates on a pay-as-you-use model, making it accessible to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, legal entities, and entrepreneurs. Users can easily register on the www.azincloud.az portal and begin using the services by making payments through a bank card.
Andre Reitenbach, CEO of Gcore, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, stating, "Digital sovereignty is not a luxury, but a strategic necessity. Together with AzInTelecom, we operate a sovereign cloud solution that gives Azerbaijan full control over its digital infrastructure – secure, transparent, and independent. This is the foundation for trust, resilience, and true digital autonomy."
Farrukh Farajullayev, Chief Commercial Officer at AzInTelecom, added, "The main goal of the AzInCloud platform is to make modern cloud services accessible to everyone and promote digital transformation within the business environment. We are proud to be the first company to create such a platform in Azerbaijan in partnership with Gcore, a leading European technology company."
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Luxembourg, Gcore manages an extensive global network of over 180 edge nodes across six continents and more than 50 cloud locations. This partnership marks Gcore’s first foray into the Azerbaijani market, further expanding its reach in the cloud technology sector.
The collaboration between Gcore and AzInTelecom is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cloud services in Azerbaijan, helping businesses achieve greater efficiency while ensuring the nation’s digital infrastructure remains secure, autonomous, and compliant with local regulations.
