LONDON, UK — May 30, 2025:
Keeper Security, the global leader in zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity solutions, has announced a significant update to its password management platform with the launch of bidirectional One-Time Sharing. This enhancement allows Keeper users and non-users to securely exchange sensitive information, including passwords and confidential documents, using end-to-end encryption—without requiring the external party to create a Keeper account.
The newly upgraded feature extends the capabilities of Keeper’s existing One-Time Share (OTS) function, which previously enabled users to share credentials and files with external recipients for one-time access. The updated version now allows those recipients to respond with their own encrypted data. These interactions are secured using Keeper’s advanced elliptic-curve and AES-256 encryption technologies, ensuring that shared information is decrypted only on the recipient's device. Each shared session is time-limited and device-specific, allowing access until the link expires or the sender terminates it manually.
According to Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-Founder of Keeper Security, this feature marks a new chapter in secure digital collaboration. He emphasized that bidirectional sharing reflects the company’s commitment to empowering customers to exchange confidential information safely and efficiently. Lurey noted that Keeper is proud to be the first in the industry to provide this level of secure bidirectional functionality, reinforcing the platform’s reputation as a trusted solution for sensitive data protection.
This update also simplifies secure communication across organizational boundaries. Businesses can now collect signed documents, private credentials, or feedback from clients, partners, vendors, or contractors who do not use Keeper. Additionally, it enhances the ability of internal teams to coordinate with auditors, compliance officers, and legal departments, all while maintaining strict control over data access and expiration.
Users initiate a one-time share by selecting a record within their Keeper Vault, configuring access permissions, and generating a secure link. Recipients follow the link to view, upload, comment on, or edit content, depending on the permissions granted. Once the session ends—either through expiry or revocation—the record becomes permanently inaccessible.
Keeper Security continues to set industry standards with its integrated cybersecurity platform, which combines privileged access management, password security, secrets management, and secure remote connections under a unified, cloud-based infrastructure. Trusted by Fortune 100 companies and millions of users worldwide, Keeper provides unparalleled protection with end-to-end encryption while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
This latest feature solidifies Keeper’s position at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation, offering organizations around the world a seamless, secure, and scalable way to manage and exchange their most sensitive information.
