Houston, USA — May 3, 2025:

Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas, a global leader in material handling and automation solutions, has announced the completion of a major expansion at its Houston manufacturing campus with the opening of a new 73,500-square-foot electrification fabrication facility. This landmark project represents a $20 million investment and marks a significant advance in the company’s strategic commitment to electric vehicle technologies in the warehousing and logistics sector.

The newly completed facility is engineered to support the rising demand for Electric Class I and Class II products, including pantograph reach trucks, order pickers, and stand-up counterbalance forklifts. It will enable Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas to expand production capacity, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency, all while improving delivery times and product quality.

“This expansion is a reflection of our continued commitment to innovation and growth,” said Berry Mansfield, President of Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas. “It took a shared vision to bring this expansion to life, and we're proud of what we've built. This facility not only supports our growth in electrification but also creates a more engaging environment for our employees. We're excited to start production this year.”

Construction began in August 2023, with the building completed in spring 2024, followed by installation of advanced production technologies throughout the year. The facility now features robotic welding systems, powder painting equipment, and other modern manufacturing enhancements, officially concluding with its full operational launch in 2025.

The expansion aligns with Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas' strategic goal to increase market share in electric-powered warehouse equipment—a sector that is quickly outpacing internal combustion (IC) vehicles as industries prioritize sustainability and efficiency.

With the opening of this cutting-edge electrification center, Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas strengthens its leadership in the North American material handling market. The facility is expected to significantly benefit the company’s customers, employees, and supply chain partners through streamlined production processes and greater capacity to meet evolving industry needs.
