SOUTHAMPTON, England, Uk – July 20, 2025:

DP World, the Global Smart Logistics Partner of SailGP, has successfully delivered the high-performance F50 catamarans and vital infrastructure to the Port of Southampton, ahead of the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth, taking place July 19–20, 2025. This marks SailGP’s first return to British waters in three years.

As part of this milestone, DP World Southampton is also accelerating its drive toward sustainability by operating all port handling equipment and gantry cranes on 100% hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). The shift has already cut net emissions by more than 80%, positioning Southampton as the UK’s frontrunner to become the first net-zero port hub.

"It is an honour to play a pivotal role in helping SailGP deliver a truly global racing calendar," said Mark Rosenberg, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Ports and Terminals, at DP World. "Our Southampton port sets new standards in modern logistics, and our net-zero goal reflects the spirit of innovation and progress we share with SailGP."

The delivery represents a major achievement in the ongoing partnership between DP World and SailGP. DP World manages every aspect of transporting the global league’s racing infrastructure, from coordinating international logistics to managing port-side operations. With twelve events on this season's calendar, the supply chain role is both critical and complex.

After arrival in Southampton, the cutting-edge carbon fibre F50 catamarans and related gear were swiftly transported to Portsmouth, where the next leg of the championship kicks off.

"Returning to the UK for the first time in three years is incredibly exciting for everyone at SailGP," said Fiona Morgan, Chief Purpose Officer at SailGP. "Working with DP World to deliver the fleet via the UK’s first net-zero port is a milestone. It shows what’s possible when sport and business unite for positive impact."

As SailGP continues its global tour, DP World’s logistical leadership will remain key to keeping the championship running smoothly and sustainably—on time, across continents, and with minimal environmental impact.
