Epson America, Inc. has announced the launch of its seventh generation of EcoTank Supertank printers, marking a major milestone in its cartridge-free printing revolution. The new models—EcoTank ET-3950 and EcoTank ET-4950—build upon Epson’s legacy of sustainable, high-performance printing, bringing smarter, cleaner solutions to households and home offices.
Since the introduction of its first EcoTank printers, Epson has sold over 100 million units globally, underscoring the widespread demand for more efficient and environmentally conscious printing solutions. With this new generation, Epson continues to prioritize convenience, cost efficiency, and long-term reliability. Megha Shukla, Group Product Manager for Consumer Inkjet at Epson America, emphasized that the seventh generation reflects years of improvement and innovation focused on what customers need most: stress-free, cartridge-free printing that fits seamlessly into daily life.
The EcoTank ET-3950 and ET-4950 come preloaded with enough ink to last up to three years, eliminating the need for frequent cartridge replacements. A single set of replacement bottles is equivalent to approximately 80 traditional cartridges, drastically reducing plastic waste and saving users time and money. The uniquely keyed EcoFit bottle system ensures simple, mess-free refills and prevents any confusion during the inking process.
Both models feature Epson’s advanced PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology, which provides high-speed, high-quality printing while extending the life of the printer’s permanent printhead. With no warm-up time required, users can print immediately at speeds of up to 18 pages per minute in black and 9 in color. Both models support automatic duplex printing and scanning, include a 250-sheet paper tray, and feature a 2.4-inch color display for intuitive operation. The ET-4950 also comes equipped with fax functionality and a touchscreen interface.
Connectivity remains a top priority, with support for Apple AirPrint, USB, and Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Agile Multiband, ensuring seamless wireless use. The Epson Smart Panel app enables users to print, scan, and manage their printer directly from a mobile device, providing flexibility and ease of use for increasingly mobile lifestyles. Designed with AI-generated content in mind, these printers are capable of handling a wide range of document and image formats without compromising speed or quality.
The EcoTank ET-3950 is priced at $419.99 and is available in a white finish. The ET-4950, available in both black and white, retails for $499.99. Both models can be purchased through major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, Costco, Target, B&H Photo, Walmart, and others.
