The Hubei Humanoid Robotics Industry Chain Matchmaking Conference was a highlight of the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) held in Beijing, emphasizing Hubei’s burgeoning role in the global humanoid robotics industry. Under the theme “Synergies from Innovative Technologies, New Productive Forces for the Highest Quality,” the event attracted over 400 participants, including diplomats, industry pioneers, experts, and investors.
Through a series of keynote addresses, project demonstrations, and the signing of strategic cooperation agreements, Hubei’s strengths in humanoid robotics were brought to the forefront, encouraging expanded international collaboration.
Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), praised Hubei’s advantageous location, rich scientific resources, and vibrant innovation ecosystem. He spotlighted the province’s rapid advancements in intelligent manufacturing, core component development, practical applications, and ecosystem building.
“At this year’s CISCE, Hubei established a dedicated humanoid robot exhibition zone, featuring 22 companies and over 80 exhibits, including 20 fully integrated humanoid robots—demonstrating the depth and breadth of the province’s robotics ecosystem,” Yu stated. He also affirmed CCPIT’s commitment to broadening global networks to cement Hubei’s position as a world-leading robotics hub.
Hu Zhonghai, Director of CCPIT Hubei, described humanoid robotics as a pivotal catalyst for technological innovation and industrial modernization. He emphasized Hubei’s unique geographic, industrial, and policy advantages, including hosting 325 Fortune Global 500 companies, and outlined a strategic roadmap with clear milestones over the next five years.
JCBot, represented by Zhao Xingwei—a professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and company legal representative—showcased how academic research is being industrialized with applications spanning manufacturing, tourism, firefighting, and warehousing. Zhao pledged to deepen research efforts for higher-value solutions and industrial upgrades.
Lou Kaiqi, Deputy General Manager of Hubei Optics Valley Dongzhi Embodied Intelligence Technology Co. Ltd., introduced the company’s latest humanoid robot, currently deployed in exhibition guidance, retail, reception, and presentations, with plans to expand into public administration, industry, and elderly care sectors.
The matchmaking event culminated with the Hubei Humanoid Robotics Industry Alliance signing strategic partnerships with the Zhejiang Robot Industry Association, the Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center, and the Zhongguancun Rongzhi Specialized Robotics Alliance. These collaborations aim to boost research and development, market growth, and talent exchanges, fostering a dynamic, resource-sharing robotics ecosystem.
With its innovation-driven approach and strong international ties, Hubei is poised to lead the next wave of advancements in humanoid robotics worldwide.
