HUNTSVILLE, Alabama, United States — August 2, 2025:
Radiance Technologies, a leading employee-owned defense and intelligence contractor, has announced the appointment of Jay E. Town as its new Chief Compliance Officer. The move is part of the company’s continued effort to bolster its legal oversight, compliance infrastructure, and risk management capabilities.
Town brings an extensive background in law enforcement and national security. He previously served as United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama (2017–2021), where he led federal prosecutions and collaborated with local, state, and federal law enforcement. He also played a key role in the Department of Justice’s China Initiative, addressing economic espionage and national security threats, and served on the President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice.

Prior to his federal role, Town served for 13 years as a senior prosecutor in the Madison County District Attorney’s Office. His legal career began in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Judge Advocate for 12 years, achieving the rank of Major.
In his new capacity, Town will be responsible for overseeing compliance operations, managing relationships with regulatory and government bodies, and ensuring Radiance meets its obligations in a highly regulated defense sector. He is expected to play a pivotal role in aligning legal strategy with operational growth as the company expands.
Town holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Indiana, New Jersey, and Alabama, and is admitted before the United States Supreme Court. A frequent legal commentator on national television and radio, Town currently resides in Huntsville with his wife and daughter.
