SHANGHAI, China, May 7, 2025:
At Auto Shanghai 2025, Shanghai Highly Group, a leading innovator in thermal management systems for new energy vehicles (NEVs), unveiled a suite of next-generation, lightweight, and environmentally friendly thermal technologies. The new solutions aim to meet the performance and sustainability demands of electric vehicles (EVs) in diverse global climates.
The company’s key highlights include the R290 Refrigerant Thermal Management Module, Low-Temperature Heat Pump Self-Heating Compressor, and Low-Temperature Heat Pump Integrated Compressor — each designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce weight, and operate reliably in extreme cold environments.
The R290 module features a compact design using natural propane refrigerant (GWP≈3), achieving a 10% reduction in volume and weight. With a sub-150g charge and ultra-thin 10.5mm flow channel plates, it combines safety with optimal thermal control. Integrated electronics enhance spatial efficiency and reduce energy use.
HIGHLY also introduced two cold-climate solutions. The Self-Heating Compressor supports operation down to -40°C with enhanced motor heating and anti-liquid impact engineering, extending product life by 10%. The Integrated Compressor further enhances performance by incorporating a printed heating membrane, reducing overall unit weight by 15% and maintaining efficiency in varied temperature scenarios — overcoming the long-standing -10°C limitation in traditional systems.
As China’s NEV market grew to 12.87 million units in 2024 (a 35.5% increase year-over-year), HIGHLY continues to scale its global reach. With 24 production plants and 6 R&D centers across 11 countries, including its new Wuhu smart production line launched in 2024, the company is well-positioned to meet rising demand for integrated and sustainable EV systems.
HIGHLY’s 2025 showcase cements its role in accelerating the EV revolution, helping automakers worldwide meet increasingly stringent carbon neutrality goals with next-generation thermal management technology.
