METABORA, a global casual game developer and blockchain project operator, has announced an exciting new partnership with LINE NEXT Inc., the venture responsible for expanding the global Web3 ecosystem. The collaboration aims to distribute METABORA's Web3 games through the LINE Messenger–based Dapp Portal, offering an innovative way for users to access decentralized applications directly within the popular messaging app.
The Dapp Portal, built on the KAIA ecosystem, enables users to enjoy a variety of Mini Dapps, including games and social features, without the need to install separate applications. Since its launch in January 2025, the platform has quickly gained traction, reaching over 100 million cumulative users. This substantial user base presents an excellent opportunity for METABORA to tap into a broader audience within the Web3 gaming space.
As part of the collaboration, METABORA will supply a selection of its Web3 games to the Dapp Portal, helping to drive the growth of the platform’s gaming ecosystem. LINE NEXT will support the accessibility and marketing of these games, leveraging its vast global network and expertise in user engagement. The partnership is expected to accelerate the adoption of Web3 gaming, offering players new ways to experience decentralized gaming features.
Moreover, METABORA plans to expand the utility of its BORA token within the LINE Messenger Mini Dapp ecosystem. A key feature of this collaboration will be the integration of a payment infrastructure that enables users to purchase in-game items for upcoming titles under the BORA brand. One of the most anticipated features is the implementation of Gas Abstraction technology, which will allow users to make in-app purchases using BORA tokens without the need for KAIA tokens to cover gas fees. This feature is expected to be fully implemented by the second half of 2025.
By expanding the BORA token's functionality across the Web3 ecosystem, METABORA aims to increase the token’s utility beyond its native blockchain, further establishing its place within the broader Web3 and cryptocurrency landscape. Additionally, METABORA and LINE NEXT plan to explore integrating stablecoins like USDT within the ecosystem, improving the overall user experience for payments and game onboarding.
