MELBOURNE, Australia, May 7, 2025:
Australian startup Blinq, a digital business card platform revolutionizing the start of professional relationships, has announced a $25 million Series A funding round, led by Touring Capital. The round also includes continued backing from Blackbird Ventures and Square Peg Capital, with new investment from HubSpot Ventures.
This fresh capital will fuel Blinq’s global expansion and support the development of next-generation tools that empower professionals to connect, follow up, and manage identities seamlessly.
What began as a simple digital business card solution has grown into a platform now used by over 2.5 million professionals. Blinq enables instant, personalized sharing of contact information across various formats—QR code, NFC, email signature, short links, and video call backgrounds. It’s projected to surpass 50 million card shares in 2025, making it a market leader in real-time, first-contact networking solutions.
“Blinq is positioning itself at the very top of the professional relationship funnel,” said Priya Saiprasad, co-founder and general partner at Touring Capital. “It’s building a system of record for in-person networking with elegant, scalable technology.”
Blinq allows users to create multiple digital profiles for different contexts—professional, personal, or entrepreneurial—and ensures their connections are meaningful and memorable. Unlike traditional CRMs, which focus on maintaining existing relationships, Blinq captures the high-intent moment when new connections are formed.
“For 700 years, business cards have been paper, passive, and easily lost,” said Rick Baker, Partner at Blackbird Ventures. “Blinq has brought this ancient ritual into the cloud, transforming how relationships begin in the digital era.”
The company’s viral growth in the consumer space has led to significant enterprise traction. Over 7,500 businesses, including teams at more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies, now use Blinq to issue employee cards, manage branding, and capture real-time lead data.
“This round marks a pivotal step in our journey,” said Jarrod Webb, CEO and Founder of Blinq. “We’re not just helping people connect—we’re building the infrastructure for how modern relationships begin and grow.”
With its seamless integration into CRM systems like HubSpot and Salesforce, Blinq captures essential contextual data—where and when contacts met, for instance—without requiring the recipient to download an app.
“Blinq transforms fleeting encounters into lasting relationships,” said Adam Coccari, Managing Director at HubSpot Ventures. “It’s not just a digital business card; it’s a new relationship intelligence layer.”
As the platform becomes embedded in business workflows, Blinq is poised to lead a fundamental shift in how professionals manage identity, make first impressions, and maintain momentum from that critical first moment of contact.
